Danny Efron
About Me
Hi, I’m Danny Efron. My life has been shaped by resilience, purpose, fight, and an unwavering drive to make a difference. I’m a two-time brain cancer and stroke survivor, advocate, author, and devoted father, but above all, I believe in fighting for what matters and using my story to inspire others.
I grew up in Westchester County, New York, as the fifth of six children in a close-knit Jewish family. My father, a hardworking, brilliant scientist with 99 patents, earned an Academy Award in 1972 for revolutionizing modern cinema. My mother, an adventurous spirit, nurtured my love for storytelling, travel, and exploration. These values continue to shape my life.
Now, I call Las Vegas, Nevada, home, where I raise my seven-year-old son, Eddie, the light of my life. He’s also the inspiration behind my children’s book, How Eddie Put a Smile on the Moon, illustrated by New York Times bestselling illustrator Andy Elkerton.
My Battle & The Power of Fight
At 35 years old, my life changed forever when I was diagnosed with glioblastoma, the most aggressive form of brain cancer. I fought hard and won. But at 42, it came back.
During my second battle, I suffered a stroke that left me temporarily blind and experiencing crippling hallucinations. It was a fight unlike anything I had ever faced. But long before my own diagnosis, cancer had already shaped my life in ways I never could have imagined.

I lost my grandmother to leukemia when I was just seven years old. At 26, I lost my father to prostate cancer. At 30, my aunt to ovarian cancer. And at 35, the day before I was supposed to have major brain surgery to remove a large tumor, my mother passed away from stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
Cancer didn’t just change my life; it has defined it, shaped my purpose, and fueled my fight.
That’s why I created my YouTube channel, The Power of Fight, where I chronicled my journey through cancer and recovery. My goal was simple: to show the raw reality of the fight—the struggles, the victories—and to give hope to others facing unimaginable challenges.

Advocacy & Making an Impact
Because of everything I’ve been through, I refuse to stand on the sidelines. My personal battles and the loss of my loved ones have fueled my passion for cancer advocacy.
I’ve had the honor of speaking before U.S. Congress Members on Capitol Hill four times on behalf of the American Cancer Society, helping to secure over $10 billion+ in funding for cancer research and preventative medicine. I fight for those who cannot, and I use my story to push for better treatments, more funding, and real support for those affected by this disease.

My Work & Professional Mission
Alongside my advocacy, I’ve built my career in healthcare innovation. I work as a Regional Sales Executive for Veritas Medical Solutions, a company dedicated to radiation shielding solutions for cancer treatment centers, medical facilities, and industrial applications like fusion energy and space travel.
I’m passionate about challenging outdated methods, implementing cutting-edge technologies, and making cancer treatment facilities safer and more efficient for both patients and medical professionals.

Living Fully & Moving Forward
Outside of my work and advocacy, I live for adventure, creativity, and pushing limits. I love writing, snowboarding, fitness, film, theater, and discovering new places—a passion that has taken me to over 25 countries and all but one U.S. state (Hawaii, I’m coming for you!).
I’m also working on my autobiography, a project I would have finished by now if not for the constant new developments in my life. My story is still unfolding, and when the time is right, I look forward to sharing it in full.

At my core, I believe adversity doesn’t define us—our response to it does. My mission is to keep fighting, inspiring, and advocating for those facing the fight of their lives. Whether through my book, my YouTube channel, my advocacy, or my work, I want my story to show that our greatest challenges can become our most powerful attributes.

Oh, and one more thing—I’m a huge New York Knicks fan. No matter where life takes me, I’ll always be rooting for the orange and blue.

If my story resonates with you, I’d love for you to connect with me on YouTube, X, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. If you’d like to support my mission, consider purchasing my book or sharing my story with someone who might need it.
Every fight is different, but we should not have to fight alone.
Thank you, and never stop fighting.
